The Gilead House mission is to bring hope to families in need by providing transitional housing and life skills that lead toward a stable life and permanent housing. The purpose of Gilead House is to provide a lovingly supervised, structured program and environment for homeless families during a transitional period of up to twelve months. The program consists of: - Income enhancement through further education and /or job skills training; - Basic personal financial management training which emphasizes money saving goals; - The development of parenting and other life-management skills; - Mentoring by sponsors who provide emotional support and healthy friendships to the residents.
