Cabell County Department of Health and Human Resources is the local county central office of Family Support and Client Services. This office can provide single mothers with assistance if you need child care subsidies and assistance. This West Virginia DHHR Office provides SNAP Food Stamps, School clothing Allowance programs, emergency assistance, utility assistance, medicaid, child care program. Emergency Assistance entails: Items of need include rent, utilities, food, household supplies, clothing, transportation and medical service. Assistance is limited to one 30 consecutive day period during any 12 consecutive months. Child Care Program entails: Information and financial assistance to eligible families. Financial assistance covers the majority of the cost of direct care and protection of children while parents work, attend training, or are otherwise unable to provide care.
